Something I’ve done to help boost response is by using just a touch of humor in my outreach emails. For example in a follow-up email I might say something like,
“Haven’t heard from you (first name), which could only mean 1 of 3 things.
1. You’re on a tropical beach somewhere with your toes in the sand.
2. You’re busy and haven’t gotten a chance to respond yet.
3. You’re not interested in working together.
